More About Us

Kate
I am an IDTA qualified Ballroom, Latin and Argentine Tango teacher. I am also a Zumba instructor and qualified Pilates instructor. That might seem a lot, but the disciplines complement each other very well.
I started out as a secondary school English teacher, before learning to dance on a cruise holiday. I then qualified with the IDTA and taught social classes and private lessons at Dancewarehouse and Aura Dance studios for 15 years before working completely for myself.
Along the way I have also been involved in a TV series, The Secret Life of the Ballroom; been involved in a number of local charity events, and worked with The Boogaloo Babes.

Geraldine
Music has been a part of my life from the age of 4, when I began learning to play the piano. I later took up flute and recorder at primary school; took part in windbands, and continued my music through university where I studied History and Music.
As part of my degree I took a specialism in composition. Currently I am composing a new set of psalms for my church choir to accompany the change in readings for Mass.
I now teach all ages of students, from 4 to adult, and a variety of abilities from absolute beginners to diploma level. I also work with 2 local choirs, and organise an annual fundraising concert for the church organ at Olton Friary.
