Learn to dance Ballroom, Latin American, Argentine Tango and Popular Sequence
“Dancing can be a ritual, a sport, an art form, a profession, a passion or therapy. But above all else, dancing is an expression of feelings”
~ Dancing Is The Best Medicine
Dancing has so many benefits, from improving physical fitness and coordination, to meeting new friends, and just the pure enjoyment of moving to music. It has been shown to decrease the levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and can counteract memory loss. It increases wellbeing at all ages.
Many dancers start out when they are young children however I was a late starter, and learnt my first steps in my 20s on a cruise holiday. I was instantly hooked.
Since then, I’ve become a fully qualified Ballroom and Latin dance teacher (FIDTA) and have also trained in, and teach Argentine Tango and Popular Sequence.
Social classes run throughout the week, and there are opportunities to dance at social dances and practice your skills in private lessons too.
I now teach in a variety of venues, and private lessons take place predominantly at The Garden Studio.
If you’re interested in a private lesson to practice steps, improve technique, or learn a new dance please email me via the contact page for more details, prices and details of how to book.
